The MDVS video client provides touch screen compatible controls and near real-time display of camera images. This allows users to quickly access the features of the attached MDVS video system.

  • Select one or more cameras for manual recording at one time, even if an alarm recording is already in progress
  • Select a camera and adjust brightness, zoom level, and focus
  • Traffic Stop Auto-Zoom feature designed to automatically zoom the camera in, pause, and then return to a home position with the touch of a single button
  • Capture snapshots during live preview, recordings, or video playback
  • Color coded, Quick Play list allows videos to be played back once a segment has been stored on the MDVS hard drive


Data Collection Features

  • Associates recordings with the vehicle number, and the user that is currently logged on to the software automatically
  • Data Entry screen can be accessed during or after an alarm recording. This screen allows data input for:
    • Incident Type to help categorize the recording
    • Large text input area for comments or a description of the recording
    • Vehicle and Personal Data for Civilians involved in the Incident
    • Entry of bookmarks in order to highlight specific moments in the recording
  • Data is exported along with videos during the automatic or manual archiving



  • Videos can be selected and manually archived to hard drive, network shares, or removable storage
    • Archive single videos, multiple videos, or entire Incidents from the Manual Archive Screen
    • Alarm Recordings and Manual Recordings can be selected and archived
  • Videos can be automatically archived for use with Wireless Download Manager and/or Incident Sorter
  • Manual Archive can be setup to require a separate user name and password to access the Manual Archive Screen



  • Protected Admin Panel requires an admin level username and password to access
  • Software Settings, Camera Settings, Alarm / Trigger Settings, Archiving Settings, and User Logins can be modified
